  10. This installer requires the ORIGINAL disks from Project-X SE 93 (there are 3).
  11. It should NOT work for cracked versions or the first release of Project-X.
  12.  
  13. The HD-Patched game will need about 4Mb of memory.
  14. It should work on ALL Kickstarts and ALL CPUs (up to '060).
  15. Report me any bugs you'll find.

  17. Note: I created and tested this package with a A1200/060/50 16Mb, so there should
  18. be no problems for all 680x0 CPUs (caches,chipset...). It degrades display properly
  19. so Multiscan users won't have any sprite or screen problem.

  21. When the disks are copied during installation, the pointer freezes. That's
  22. normal cause the game uses a custom trackload routine (copy-protection), and
  23. it does not easily multitask. No checks are done to see if you swapped the disks
  24. or not.

  26. IMPROVEMENTS SINCE V1.0:
  27.  
  28. Version V1.0 of the loader did not take advantage of the allowed cpu caches
  29. properly and did not disable specific '060 caches. Besides, it sometimes exited
  30. with no reason, without doing anything.
  31. There also were gfx problems with the Hall Of Fame page and the speed tunnel
  32. section.
  33. You can access all the 5 levels at once. The choice is not limited to levels 1,2,3.

  35. Version 1.2 did not allow you to play levels 4 & 5 directly.

  37. Version 1.1 allocated the memory in one big chunk, which made the patch unusable
  38. for Amigas with 2MB chip and 2MB fast. I fixed this.

  40. For V1.0/V1.1/V1.2/V1.3 users of the patch, just replace the px2hd executable by this version.
  41. No need to install the whole game again :-)

  43. Version 1.3 did not start in PAL (NTSC users) and gave lots of firepower at level 1.
  44. Now it's fixed.

  48. I'm also looking for people who could send me original disks for me to patch them
  49. for 680x0 or write HD-Installers (NO WAY FOR CRACKED VERSIONS).
